A terribly slow and relaxing day here on board the Pacific
Princess. We got up, showered, and went
to breakfast. I came back to the
stateroom to rehearse for my 10:15 talk.
Bonnie went to crafts. Then we went
to the Sunday Brunch and decided we liked none of the fare and went to the
Buffet where we had delicious black bean soup that was left-over from last
night. Then a 90 minute nap before we
attended a talk on cruising on small ships, like the Pacific Princess (it was a
sales talk, but some exciting destinations -- hopefully we can get some). Then supper and a fantastic show by a new
troupe of singers and dancers who just joined in Cartagena.
And now back in the room blogging.
Ok. I'm done. Hereeeeeeee's Bonnie!
Hey! Still really creaky
from yesterday. Well, after breakfast I went up to deck 10 to walk my mile. It
was quite breezy and overcast but I enjoyed the air. Not quite as hot and humid
as yesterday. After walking my mile, I went up to deck 11 to survey the sea.
Very quiet after yesterday (the weather was fine yesterday, the sea was crowded
with lots of ships around the canal area -- David). I then proceeded to the room to retrieve my
bag for the day. I went out on deck 5, found a lounge chair and sat down to
crochet. It was breezy but I enjoyed it. I crocheted till 9:50 then went to the
Atrium to wait for the start of crafts. We were making a fluffy butterfly
barrette. It involve needle and thread, not one of my favorite tools. But after
about an hour I had finished my task. Not a perfect job but okay. I missed all
of David's talk. I had planned to do the craft and then scoot to the show. But
it took me longer than expected.
We went to the room to put our stuff up before going to the
Brunch. I was not impressed. It was a Mexican theme but the only Mexican they
had was a guacamole dip. Yuck! So we went upstairs. I had pizza also (it's the
first pizza since the Samara Special that I did not like -- it neither smelled
nor tasted good; one bite and I was done -- David). After consuming lunch we
played cards and he beat me! Uggh!! (Bro wins! Bro wins!) We went back to the
room for a short nap, then to the talk. Afterwards I got dressed for supper and
we sat in the coffee bar lounge out side of the dining room and played cards.
Uggh, he beat me again. (Bro wins again! Bro wins again!) Oh, well, tomorrow is
another day.
After supper went to the show. Very Good. One of the
dancers, who is a red head we have seen on another ship. She is very pretty and
I always liked her the best when we last saw her (Me, too! Pretty smile. Long
red hair. Great legs!).
Well, we are in Puerto
Quepos, Costa Rica
tomorrow. Our understanding is the only thing here is a large rainforest. We
are meeting one of our dinner couples for breakfast and if the weather is good,
it is supposed to be raining, we are going to share a cab to the rain forest
and tour a couple of hours. The tours for this stop are very expensive and most
include activities like zip lining. So we are going on our own. We understand there is not much else at this
stop. David wants to find some Mountain Dew but we don't have much hope of
being able to do that.
Well, we turned the clocks back another hour tonight. So
while it is 10:30 pm there it is only 8:30 pm here. We are supposed to play
with the clocks at least twice more. Who knows what time it will be tomorrow
night?
Well, Mac good job on the walking keep it up. The more you
do the better you will feel. And just think no school tomorrow! Love you. Love
everybody. Miss you all.
And so we bid you tooodle-ooo
