| Piazzetta San Marco. This was our first night. Our hostess at the hotel said if we wanted to maintain our romantic view of Venice to visit the Square after 5 p.m. when the day trippers had gone. She was right. In the daytime it was very crowded with tourists and souvenir sellers. |
