From Room 733

Well, the adventure is beginning.

Here we are high atop the Ramada Inn, overlooking the railroad tracks and beautiful downtown Newark, NJ.

And you can't get there from here.  Or at least you can't get there inexpensively.  In addition to gas costing 20-50 cents more per gallon than in Augusta, there were $30 in tolls from Baltimore to Exit 14 off of the New Jersey Turnpike.  And tomorrow's taxi ride to the Explorer of the Seas will be $50.  And throw in $172 for the room and parking, and there you go.  I remember the wise words of Akhmed the Dead Terrorist.

As the Bro says ... oh well.

Bonnie planned 4 crocheting projects for the drive up and finished them all. She has balls and balls of yarn and many more projects planned for the cruise. The two small green ones are secrects. The green and white one in her lap is a pot holder. And the red one is the back of a pillow.

Good dinner tonight at Ted's Restaurant.  Ted wasn't here, but we had steak salads. Very tasty and diet friendly.

Well, a little TV watching and then to bed. Going to call a cab for about 10 and head for the dock. Hopefully we can get on early.

I'll try to update tomorrow night.
