Nothing much going on today. I did my last talk for this cruise and had a receptive audience. A lot of nice comments – I hope they put those in their cruise review. We played a few hands of cards, and at the moment the score is 4 games for me and 5 games for her. I am leading in an unfinished game – tied at the end if the score holds. And we may save the completion for tomorrow while we are waiting for our turn to go ashore.
We packed up this afternoon and set our suitcases out in the hall after we got back from the evening show – a comedian who is doing an adults only show later tonight, and judging by his early stuff, it is a show we will be glad to miss. Why does comedy have to be dirty to be funny? Actually, it does not.
UK and AC are meeting us in the morning. We are scheduled to be called between 8:45 and 9:00, which means if we are on time we should be out of the terminal by 9:30. Then we are going to the Amish Market for brunch/lunch/something and I will buy two pounds of the chipped beef for a future family night breakfast supper.
We are heading for 233 beginning Sunday morning, with a stop over night in Wilson, and the on into Augusta and 47 loads of laundry (well, maybe not that many) on Monday.
This cruising blog will shut down now and resume sailing out of Civitavecchia in October. May the Force be with us!
